THE STORY OF LACROSSE & IT'S MEANING TO INDIGENOUS CULTURE
Lacrosse is one of the oldest sports on earth. Having finally been accepted into the Olympics and rooted in ritual, tradition and indigeneity, it is worth highlighting. Recently, the Box Lacrosse World Championships took place in
New York.
Our Production Team for my course sat down with Austin Owens, Haudenosaunee National Team Photographer, and Lacrosse Historian/ Author Jim Calder to talk about the importance of Lacrosse Exposure and its history and meaning nowadays amongst Indigenous communities.
The feature is about 3 min in length and consists of a combination of in-person interviews and Zoom interviews with written questions on screen for context to the viewer.
